On September 22, 2014, three Norwegian "extreme travellers" embarked on a journey to visit as many countries as possible in a single day.
- Starting in Greece, they crossed the border into Bulgaria at midnight and then quickly moved on to North Macedonia and Kosovo. By 10 am, they had already visited four more ex-Yugoslav republics and by 12:24 pm, they had reached Austria, Hungary, Czechian, and Slovakia. The trio then caught a flight to Western Germany and visited each of the three Benelux countries, reaching France by 7 pm, Switzerland around 9:30 pm and Liechtenstein 23 minutes before midnight.
