Qualcomm has announced its Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC, targeted at the premium market segment of $400 to $600, which aims to provide flagship-level features at more modest costs. The new chip promises a considerable performance boost, primarily enabled by the switch from Samsung's 4nm process to TSMC's 4nm process. The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 retains the same 1+3+4 CPU core configuration as its predecessors, but its top-performing Prime core gets a significant performance improvement by using Arm's Cortex-X2 core.
