You said a mouthful with that sentence alone. Everything is a lifestyle change, and if you can't do that, then nothing sticks. Diets only work if you can keep it up forever. Exercise only works if you keep it up forever. I have been on the yoyo of self-improvement my whole life, and it gets kind of depressing to know that all that hard work is so easily undone. Makes me wonder if it's even worth trying anymore. Of course, unless we want to be miserably out of shape or over weight, we have to do something that makes even a small difference. It's still hard for those of us who proscrastinate and/or have slow metabolisms. UGH!

Like you wrote, I need to try that mindfulness training. Maybe it will help.
